Contact Details
- You must keep all your contact details current and accurate.
- We will send you notifications about your service (e.g. maintenance notices and changes in pricing). We may send promotional literature unless you opt-out at any time.
- We may quote your company or trading name (but never personal names or project details without your permission) in testimonials, unless you opt out by writing to us.
Fees and Charges
- You must make all payments in good time (including any time it takes for banks to clear your payments), and if we have not received your payment before a renewal date, we will infer you want to suspend or cancel your service.
- If you exceed any agreed or implied limits (e.g. bandwidth or power) in your services, we may charge you overage fees for the additional usage, or in extreme cases suspend your service where it is adversely affecting the performance of our systems or other clients.
- We may vary the prices charged to you with at least 28 days written notice, so that these variations apply upon your renewal of the service (i.e. at the next renewal date).
- We may increase power and bandwidth costs to you at the same increased rate we receive from our suppliers, with 28 days written notice. This will apply on your next renewal of the service, unless you have a contract with more than 28 days remaining, in which case the fee will also apply for the remainder of the contract after the 28 days notice has elapsed.
Support
- Unless Server Management is included in your service, we do not offer support free of charge for any issues not relating to our network, the data centre or hardware we own. You are responsible for managing any colocated hardware and ordinarily all software on your server.
- If you wish to pay for Server Management, or some time is included in your service, we will attempt to assist you as best we can for a wide variety of software and networking issues. We do not guarantee we'll be able to carry out any or all work, nor that we can do so without incurring additional fees.
- Where we perform software maintenance on your behalf, you must ensure you have permission for us to view any data we may have access to. By commissioning us for work, you'll be implicitly assuring us that any data is not protected by privacy or data protection laws, and therefore we are allowed to access it.
Acceptable Use Policy
- Bottom line: be law-abiding, spam-free and not harmful to any other computers, people or businesses!
- Do not use the services in any way which causes an unreasonable burden on our systems or other clients (e.g. extreme bandwidth usage, denial of service attacks or forgery of computer data).
- You must not use IRC-related services if they connect to the EFnet and/or Undernet systems, because activity on these networks has been known to be malicious in the past.
- If we send you an abuse complaint about your use of the service, you must respond within 48 hours or we reserve the right to suspend your service.
- For colocation, if you visit a data centre you must be sensible and abide by any specific site rules displayed there.
- You must ensure any other person who has access to your services (including any customers of yours) abides by this Acceptable Use Policy.
Intellectual Property
Any property or ideas we disclose to you are to be kept confidential and not disclosed to any third party, and vice versa.
Colocation
- You will own all the equipment you provide with us for colocation, but you must notify us before we receive the delivery if the equipment is the property of a third party (including their name, address and contact details).
- You will be responsible for safely delivering/removing any equipment to/from the data centre.
- We do not keep packaging used to deliver equipment as standard. If you wish, we can store this for you at a weekly rate.
- You will be permitted to access your equipment only by booking build room time in advance. We will then remove the equipment from the rack in which it is hosted to the build room for your inspection. Once you are finished, we will move the equipment back to the rack. Direct unescorted access to shared racks is prohibited for the security of all our clients' equipment.
- We do not routinely insure your equipment (or any software or data) against any form of loss or damage. You should seek adequate insurance to cover any loss or damage, or we can arrange this for you under our policy if you agree to pay the additional premiums.
